Middle and high school students challenged academically and grounded spiritually — preparing them for college and for life.
Our junior high program bridges the gap between elementary and high school, challenging students with a more rigorous academic environment while maintaining the nurturing community Heritage is known for.
Students build critical thinking skills, explore their gifts and interests, and develop the study habits and character needed for success in high school and beyond.
Heritage's high school program prepares students for college and life through a challenging curriculum grounded in a biblical worldview. Students develop the academic skills, critical thinking abilities, and character needed to impact their world for Christ.
With AP courses, dual enrollment opportunities, and personalized college counseling, our graduates leave Heritage equipped and confident.
These two remain AP courses because Cedarville does not currently offer a Dual Enrollment equivalent for either. Every other former AP subject has moved to Honors Dual Enrollment below.
Part of the Heritage Christian Honors Program, launching Fall 2026 in partnership with Cedarville University. Courses earn both high school and college credit. Subject to class minimums and completed prerequisites. "Prereq" marks the two courses that currently require one.
Beginning Fall 2026 — starting with the current 10th-grade class (Class of 2028) — Heritage is launching the Honors Program and Honors Diploma in partnership with Cedarville University. This strengthens, not replaces, HCA's college-preparatory diploma, giving motivated students the option to take rigorous, fully accredited Christian college courses right here at HCA, earning both high school and college credit at the same time.
3.0 GPA minimum. Requires an application, a signed contract, and meeting Cedarville's course prerequisites (currently only Composition and College Algebra have one).
Requires a minimum of 7 Honors courses (21 units) — 6 completed in person at HCA, with 1 allowed online.
Graded on the same 5-point scale as HCA's previous AP courses. A C or higher is required to earn college credit; a D still earns high school credit only.
Tuition for these courses is covered for families enrolled in HEP. Families are always responsible for classroom fees and textbooks. Without HEP, all costs fall to the family. (⚠️ Confirm what "HEP" stands for before publishing.)
Heritage also maintains a separate dual enrollment relationship with Grand Canyon University. GCU courses are not part of the Honors Program — each course requires administration approval before a student may enroll, and families are responsible for the full cost of tuition, fees, and books.
Family handbook covering policies, procedures, and expectations for 7–12.
