athletics Mission
The mission of HCA athletics is to develop student-athletes who glorify God in their character, effort, and teamwork. We desire for our coaches, players, and fans to represent Christ through excellent sportsmanship, respect for officials and opponents, and humility and grace in winning or losing. We strive to develop and do our best with the abilities that God has given to us. We emphasize selfless team play that results in unity and a positive Christian witness.
Athletic Director Spotlight
This past week was one that HCA Athletics will certainly never forget.
One of the most influential coaches in our sports history, Andy Bowsher, who was also the father of five student-athlete alumni, passed away this past Tuesday.
His funeral will be this Thursday at 2:00 PM at Timberline Church.
On Friday, we got to present a banner in honor of Sophia Case and her family, and retire her #15 jersey during the basketball games with Skyview Academy.
We concluded the week with a series of great basketball games against Golden View Academy on Saturday. This week brings another full slate of action, and as always, your support and engagement in all of it will make all the difference!
