Kyla Bruxvoort

Kyla Bruxvoort is HCA’s first licensed school counselor. In 2018, Kyla graduated with a BS in Family Sciences and Human Development. After a few years of teaching preschool, Kyla began working on a Masters in Clinical and School Counseling, a program which she finished in 2023. She served as HCA’s Athletic Secretary during the 2023-2024 school year. In 2024, she will be taking on the position of student counsel staff representative. Kyla is deeply thankful for the opportunities to serve and love the students at Heritage.

Jason Swiers

Jason Swiers is a part-time paraprofessional at HCA. He works with the elementary grades, pre-kindergarten through sixth grade. He has an associates degree in Air and Space Operations Technology. He grew up in northern Minnesota and moved to Colorado in 1997. He retired in 2011 from a military career, serving with both the Army National Guard in North Dakota and the Air National Guard in Colorado. He worked for PSD as a part-time and substitute paraprofessional for several years. He loves the opportunities at Heritage to use and share his faith while serving the students and staff.  He desires to grow closer to Christ and His church in all areas of his life. In his free time he enjoys serving at Wellington Community Church, working on his property, fishing, and spending time with his church and family.

Amelia Bruck

Amelia Bruck is a paraprofessional at Heritage. She has been part of Heritage since 2011 as a student and since 2021 as staff. She came back as an elementary paraprofessional after receiving her associates degree. She loves being part of the Heritage community! She has lived in Fort Collins since 2011 as well and loves spending time with her brother and family.

Alicia Gibson

Alicia Gibson is our Literacy Assistant. Mrs. Gibson earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado, and she has been teaching since 2016.

Monica Sheppard

Monica Sheppard is the Kitchen coordinator, aftercare coordinator, as well as HCA’s librarian. She attended Colorado State University, worked at a daycare, and trained under a pastry chef!  Mrs. Sheppard started working in the food service industry at the age of 14, has worked with children her whole life, and has been a part of Heritage since 2002. In her free time, she is passionate about hosting and participating in Bible studies.  Her favorite part of working at HCA is getting to know the students better, and being able to pray with them!

Pam Dysert

Pam Dysert works in the kitchen at HCA. She has an associates degree in liberal arts from Front Range Community College. She has been working for Heritage since 2022. She has one student who attends school at Heritage and 2 older kids who enjoy playing sports for Heritage. Her hobbies and passions are cooking, reading, media ministry and women’s ministry. She loves Heritage for the family atmosphere, not only with other parents and students, but within the faculty as well. 

Linda Hoffman

Linda Hoffman leads the kindergarten lunch bunch at HCA. She is a wife and mother of 3 boys and a grandmother of 4. Her hobbies are cooking, baking, scrapbooking, gardening and canning. She likes hiking, biking, and walking. She loves working with the kindergarteners and sharing the love of Jesus with them. She likes the atmosphere at HCA, because there are genuine people who demonstrate Godly character.
